My presentation, titled “The Illusion of Simplicity”, focused on how simple are surrounded by complexity, which we may not be aware of, and how this all affects us as we create things.
It was a great experience! From the very first session, I was already feeling inspired. I wasn’t alone in this, as many around me in the audience expressed the same feelings. The event was such a success that I keep hearing about it days after the event is over! The variety of topics and areas of expertise that the speakers brought made it into a potpourri of inspiration, almost to an overwhelming point that was too much to digest and contemplate profoundly while the conference was going. There was just so much great information, from neuroscience, 3D printing, multi-cultural backgrounds, and even a magician!
The Daily Toreador
Today I found out that I was on the front page of The Daily Toreador in an article about the conference. The background on the stage was made out of recycled bottles, with LED lights on the bottom of the whole wall. This is what created a beautiful wash of color across the stage, giving it a superb design and feel. The colors, the stage, and everything about this conference was well planned out. Simply great.
The talk was recorded and posted below! Feel free to share it with others as it is a public youtube video available for anyone to watch. So until next time….keep it simple 🙂
